COMMUNITY SUPPORT ROUNDTABLE

What is the Community Support Rountable?
The "Roundtable" was established in November, 2025, for the purpose of (1) introducing representatives from all area services and support organizations to each other, (2) better understanding what community supports and services are currently available, (3) fostering partnerships to address unmet needs, and (4) building community. Over twenty organizations participated in the first Roundtable on November 6, 2025. In addition to organizations, interested individuals are welcome to participate.

How to participate?
The second meeting of the Roundtable will take place on May 7, 2026 from 2-4 (doors open at 1:30) at the Cable Community Center on County M in Cable. Any organization not already on our email list or any member of the public interested in being part of the Roundtable should contact us at cableareasocialconnections@gmail.com. Put "Roundtable" in the subject line. All are welcome!

Next meeting? May 7, Cable Community Center, doors open at 1:30, meeting starts at 2:00.

New this time will be 3 breakout sessions focussing on 1. Health and wellness; 2. Social activities and recreation, and 3. Community service. Groups will be encouraged to develop at least one project idea that they feel is worth sharing with the larger group.

We want to hear beforehand from anyone who already has an idea to pitch. You will have a chance to share your idea in one of the breakout sessions and with the larger group.

And as promised, there will be refreshments and ample time for networking and individual discussions.

We know you are looking forward to this opportunity to get together. We hope to see you all there.
